Abstract;The authors chose women of 20-75 years old in Shiga Prefecture, and investigated the actual state of drinking and consciousness for drinks for relaxation and for servicing visitors. The drinking rate of green tea rose with the age, and significance was shown between students and women of over 40 years old. Barley tea and oolong tea were well drunk among women of 39 years old or under, and coffee and milk were drunk in all age groups. Athough favorite drink of student was bkack tea, the preference for black tea lowered and preference for coffee rose as the age rises. In 40 year age bracket, drinking rate and preference for green tea were high and those for black tea were low. Regarding image for drinks for relaxation, age difference was not recognized in green tea, but image for black tea lowered and image for coffee rose as the age grew. Regarding image for drinks servicing visitors, black tea was chosen by young generation, but preference went to green tea as the age grew.
