Abstract; We reported two cases with osteoradionecrosis of the clavicula. In both cases, radical neck dissection and radiotherapy for primary cancer had been performed. The osteoradionecrosis appeared in both cases over 10 years after this combined therapy. Case 1 died of a rupture of the subclavicular artery due to the necrosis of the clavicle. In Case 2, a debridement of the clavicular osteonecrosis was performed. The postoperative periclavicular dead space was obliterated with a pectoral major muscular flap, and the skin defect was covered with a DP flap. For patients with osteoradionecrosis, prompt and accurate therapy is essential. (author abst.)
