Abstract; The effect of psychology educational intervention on both patients and families in the Kokufudai Hospital is examined in relation with drug therapy, and following results were obtained. A significant difference could not be observed in present intervention group ( 42 persons ) and non-intervention group ( 46 persons ). In the intervention group, though use frequency of nonstandard antipsychotic drugs increased, a relation between the significant improvement in the intervention group of negative symptom in the point of time after patient discharge 9 month and use of nonstandard antipsychotic drugs was denied.
