| Abstract;For the elevator door (at the entrance to elevator shaft), a sufficient smoke-shielding capability is legally required, in order to prevent the smoke going into upper floors, when a fire occurred. After the revision, in May,2002, of the Building Standards Law, it is required, in addition to the above-said elevator door, to install, in the foreground of elevator door, a fire-prevention equipment which is capable of shielding fire/smoke. As such fire-prevention equipment, there is the "smoke guard" manufactured by our company. Here, its features and way of operation (triggered by a signal from smoke sensor, a kind of smoke-shielding screen is automatically drawn out from its storage box) are explained. |
