Abstract;Mechanism of target recognition by NK cell activation receptor was investigated through the following two aspects: to find a ligand of orphan receptor of which physiological les have not been clarified and to find a new receptor for NK cell activation. Of the receptor involved in ligand recognition, only the extracellular domain was expressed to analyse its physical interaction with ligand. This technique was applied to study the receptor for repression of NK cell and the mechanism by which MHC class I molecule is recognized by repression receptor Ly49A was elucidated.
