| Abstract; This paper explains the following items on the titled treatment (I) 1) Objectives; to establish a removal method for dioxins contained in leachate, 2) approach; pentachlorobenzene (PCBZ), surrogate substance selected, was added to tap water and leachate, 3) results; PCBZ was removed below its solubility, and down to further lower concentration by repeated treatment. Experiments on PCDDs/PCDFs showed similar results, well satisfying present effluent standards, 4) verification was performed using a commercial plant and 5) conclusion; I is a sufficiently effective method for removal of dioxins from leachate. PCBZ can provide behavior of dioxins in I. |
