Abstract; This paper explains the following items on the titled investigation: 1) Background; incorrect treatment of construction/demolition wastes (I) and waste gypsum wallboard (II), generating in large municipalities, may raise human health accidents by generation of large quantity of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas, 2) approach; anaerobic cultivation experiment using separated I to determine generation amount of H2S gas corresponding to 1,000 ppm, concentration level as acute toxicity, 3) results; control required is not higher than 0.13 mmol-S/kg waste (0.013 mmol-S/L water) under pH 7.5 of liquid phase of a landfill site layer and 4) conclusion of criteria for wastes causing problems; I with ignition loss of not lower than 20 %, II with ignition loss of not lower than 4 % and TOC concentration in elution filtrate for both I and II not lower than 30 mg/L.
