Abstract; This paper explains the following items on the titled method for comprehensive ecological evaluation: 1) Problem of conventional chemical analysis of toxicity effects; limit in chemical substance types, 2) approaches; (1) lethal effects on larvae and adults fish, and hatch-inhibition, (2) CYP1A activity and (3) Vitellogenin induction and 3) results; levels of chemical substances with lethal effects and hatch-inhibition or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons can be lowered sufficiently by waste water treatment not to provide acute effects. Removal of mutation substances and endocrine disruptors was limited and affect on organism living in a river was suggested.
