Abstract; We observed NGC7822 with the 12CO (J=1-0) and 13CO (J=1-0) emission lines using the 45m telescope at Nobeyama Radio Observatory. NGC7822 is a bright-rimmed cloud with a cometary shape located in the HII region S 171 in Cepheus. We mapped the entire cloud surface with these emission lines, and measured the average excitation temperature (-24 K) as well as the total molecular mass (-1300MSun) of the cloud. We found a smooth velocity gradient of -0.6km s-1 pc-1 around the major axis of the cloud, which is most likely to represent the rotational motion of the cloud. (author abst.)
