| Abstract; On the treatments of osteochondritis dissecans of the elbow, there are many methods. But clinical results of these treatments are not enough. So we have performed osteochondral autograft of the knee. For the patient of osteochondritis dissecans of the elbow, we firstly performed mutilation of freebody and curettage. Secondly, we transplanted osteochondral graft of the knee to the focus of the elbow. Three month later, clinical result was good. Tenderness was disappeared, and range of motion was improved. Nothing was the matter with the knee. Reconstruction of the focus was good in the X-ray and MRI. Three month later, the patient started traning and throwing. Advantage with this surgery is anatomical reconstruction of large defect by using hyaline cartilage. Problems are investigation for normal knee and risk of shaving of graft cartilage. We think it is necessary to observe for long period in this surgery. (author abst.) |
