| Abstract;2003 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-03) of ITU was held in Geneva from June 9 to July 4. In this conference, revisions of radiocommunication regulations are discussed. This article reports the discussion process of "enhancement of IMT-2000 and its succeeding systems (systems beyond IMT-2000) which was deliberated by the conference. The discussion of "the enhancement of IMT-2000 and its succeeding systems (systems beyond IMT-2000)" had already begun from WRC-02, and WRC-03 deliberated this subject based on these former study results to resolve on selecting the new frequency band as a subject for WRC-07. The deliberation process up to this resolution is reported and the present state of study of this problem in each of Asia-Pacific, European, American, Russian and African regions is described. |
