| Abstract;The interviewee introduces the outline of the project shown in the title, which is carried on by the Communication Research Laboratory (an Incorporated Administrative Agency). The New Generation Mobile Communication, consisting of more extensive technologies than the 4th generation mobile communication, is aimed at seamless connection to other various systems like wireless LAN, home network, digital television, ITS etc. This project has the wireless application group, the mobile network group and the wireless access group, which cover wireless security platform technology, media handover technology and wireless access technology, respectively. As important subjects in future, interface with existing systems operated by current businesses and coexistence with international standards are pointed out. Another problem for an incorporated administrative agency is how to make business of research results, for which assessment meeting etc. are organized to listen to the business world. |
