| Abstract; The publication shown in the title consists of 253 pages and 9 chapters is outlined by this journal divided into 2 parts. This issue introduces the chapters about recent development of communication policy", scale of telecommunication market, and scale and development of networks. The communication services in OECD states are various; the number of states where communication service is 100% privatized is a few including US, UK, Korea etc., and number of states of 100% national ownership is not a few, that is, national ownership rate is not uniform. In this connection, the Japanese government's ownership is estimated 46%. Increase in new telecommunication companies (private telecommunication companies) is found but the speed is low. Growth of mobile communication is remarkable. This publication explains these trends with statistical tables about 30 signatories to OECD. |
