| Abstract;There are 41 TLOs in Japan. 36 TLOs belong to the Universities. 5 TLOs belong to the National Institutes. AIST is one of the largest National Institutes in Japan. The numbers of staffs are 5,400 and the annual budget is 90 billion Yen. AIST has about 10,000 patents and established TLO (named AIST Innovations) in April, 2001. And the budget of R&D for technology transfer is about 2 billion Yen. AIST Innovations has 20 staffs. 3 are licensing staffs, 13 are for marketing and 4 are for administration. (author abst.) |
