| Abstract; We report a case of atopic cataract that experienced ciliary body break in the early days after cataract surgery. This case exhibited pigments in the peripheral vitreous, but no break was detected in the ciliary body or retina before surgery. Two days after surgery, a break was noted in the ciliary body and performed flap. We hypothesize that the break was caused by movement of the vitreous toward the empty lens space after surgery, which resulted in stretching the ciliary body. This break was based on the ciliary body's weakness toward atopic dermatitis. (author abst.) |
