Abstract;Plants first reported from Japan as Brachydontium olympicum (E. Britton) T.T. McIntosh & J.R. Spence are described as a new species, B. noguchii. However, the Japanese plants described as B. polycarpum H. Akiyama are found to be identical with B. olympicum. (author abst.)
