| Abstract;Vitamin is the ingredient used for cosmetic products for long years. The field of vitamins study has been changing from nutritional field to field as functional materials and vitamin is researched briskly in the present day. Especially, the new knowledge has been found by the studies which are conducted at high dosage level. Moreover, we realized that vitamins are well-known materials for consumer by our survey. The result of our survey showed 96.9% of people know vitamin C, and vitamin E and beta caroten are also well known. Panthenol (activating epidermal cell, anti-inflammation effect and moisturizing effect), Niacinamide (activating synthesis of ceramide and whitening effect), vitamin C (preventing dicoloration of colored hair), Biotin (treating for atopic skin), vitamin E (prevention melanogenesis) and vitamin K1 (treating dark under-eye circles) become topics of recent research. Unfortunately, vitamin K1 cannot be used for cosmetic product in Japan. The risk assessment of safety and environment for new materials become severe and people expect the "new" effect of vitamins as "old" material in this situation. (author abst.) |
