| Abstract;Mold Meister Ball Nose End Mill, the end mill for machining of precision molds, features the highest ball nose end mill precision with the minimum form error of .+-.3.MU.m. The machining of 180.DEG.radius is ensured with the development of measuring technology for the measurement at 0.1.MU.m increment and with the milling technology that allows the smooth contour from ball nose end milling to outside diameter cutting. It allows the machining of the precision mold to the precise shape, therefore reducing the process time of repair or polishing substantially. Furthermore, it is made of sub-micrograin carbide and coated with friction- and heat-resistant X's coating. Because of the superb durability, it is also suitable for the machining of hardened steel.
