| Abstract;Kanebo, LTD. has been studying new functional textiles to promote health and beauty. Now, we developed "skincare textile", with a new processing method to increase hygroscopic property of textile. This processing method increases hygroscopic property of polyester 30-fold. We owed a debt to a multiwater-holding membranes to keep moisture on our skin, and succeeded in reproducing such membrane on textile. In clinical study, we could prove its water-retention capacity to keep the skin moisture. We also have textiles with microencapsulated provitamin C, or with microencapsulated raspberry ketone, a slimming active. Kanebo would like to research and develop functional textiles to support human health and beauty in the future. (author abst.) |
