| Abstract;High quality leather products such as gloves and wallets infused with fragrances of HINOKI (Chamaecyparis obtusa) and ROSE WOOD (Dalbergia nigra) were produced by using supercritical fluid infusion technology (at pressures of 10-30MPa and temperatures of 35-45.DEG.C.). Skins of deer, cow and sheep were used as leathers in this study. The appearance, physical properties and the touch of these leathers were maintained even after infusion treatment. The fragrance of the gloves, in particular, remained for up to 1 year. These new woody oil fragrance-infused leather products could become high quality controlled release products. (author abst.) |
