| Abstract; We performed vitreous surgery on 9 eyes of idiopathic macular hole. The internal limiting membrane (ILM) was peeled off after staining with indocyanine green (ICG). The fundus was periodically photographed using an infrared fundus camera up to 27 months after surgery. At 1 month after surgery, hyperfluorescence due to remaining ICG was present in the disc area, the retinal area that did not receive ILM peeling, and around the site of macular hole. Hyperfluorescence in the outer retina and the macula disappeared 6 and 9 months respectively after surgery. Hyperfluorescence in the disc area persisted until 21 months after surgery in all the eyes. It disappeared at 27 months after surgery. (author abst.) |
