| Abstract;Based on the glucose level after meals, the subjects were divided into 30 minute peak group and 60 minute peak group. They were further divided into high glucose level group and low glucose level group. The subjects were given indigestible dextrin added drink to determine the effect of indigestible dextrin on glucose level. The 30 minute peak and high glucose level group had statistically significantly lower glucose level after meal when they drank the indigestible dextrin added drink compared to the drink without addition. No statistically significant difference was observed for 30 minute peak and low glucose level group. There were not enough subjects to evaluate the result for 60 minutes groups. The result indicate that indigestible dextrin can suppress the glucose level after meal for those who are vulnerable to glucose level increase. No case of low hypoglycemia or gastrointestinal symptoms were observed in any of the subjects. |
