| Abstract;Web accessibility is a concept meaning easiness for all the people including those of advanced years and those handicapped to access to information on Internet. Recently, discussions on accessibility to ICT (information and communication technologies) are becoming active, and by international organizations, discussions have been made focused on accessibility to website of electronic government. Lately, WCAG1.0 completed by WAI, a WWW consortium, is often used as a standard for checking accessibility. This article overviews the present condition of preparation of the guideline about web accessibility and efforts at international organizations, and moreover, examples of establishment about the web accessibility in Asia-Pacific Region are mentioned. |
