| Abstract;Intelligent Transport System (ITS) is being developed globally. In Japan, it is being urged as a national project led by collaboration of 4 government organizations. Concrete examples are VICS and ETC. Lately, with diversification of communication media and bandwidth expansion, ubiquitous networks which provide more sophisticated information and communication services are being developed. KDDI provides both fixed and mobile communication services as a communication common carrier, and covers wide range of technology field from networks to IP. In the ITS field, it also expands utilization of information and communication infrastructure and promotes value added business In this article, KDDI's current concrete efforts to ITS and participation in standardization activities etc. are explained. |
