| Abstract;Cold crucible (water cooled Cu) melting technology can melt Ti-, Zr-, Cr-, V-base alloys without any resultant contamination. In this paper examples of melting and casting small amounts of material (dozens of kg) using Cold Crucible Induction Melting (CCIM), Electron Beam Melting (EBM), and Plasma Arc Melting (PAM) equipment are described.
