Abstract; The stability (disintegration) of "Maglax Tab."and "Magmitt Tab." containing magnesium oxide JP., was examined. Both tablets comprising of the plastic bottle were stored in petri dishes at 40 degrees C, 75% relative humidity for 3 days. "Maglax Tab." was stable while the disintegration time of "Magmitt Tab." was prolonged. Furthermore, the survey was conducted to compare the sensation of oral administration for both tablets. According to the survey, many participants responded that it would be easier to take "Maglax Tab." as compared to taking "Magmitt Tab.". In conclusion, this study indicated that "Maglax Tab." would be stable in a single unit package and might also improve the compliance. (author abst.)
