Abstract;Vision-based real-time human motion sensing is quite useful for many real-time interactive systems, such as virtual reality systems, video game consoles, etc, since it does not impose physical restrictions on a target person, and it is comfortable for its users. In this paper, we present a vision-based real-time human motion sensing and its application to realize virtual reality walk-through. There are two topics here: one is realization of vision-based real-time human motion sensing, for which we have adopted parallel multi-view image analysis; the other is human action recognition to realize VR work-through in a restricted real 3D space. Here, we present our experimental studies. (author abst.)
