| Abstract;Solar lights provide some influences to us, human being. While solar light leads to comfortable feeling and be relaxed, UV lights in solar lights induce harmful effects on human skin. Single UV irradiation causes skin appearance such as inflammation and pigmentation. In addition, chronic UV irradiation accelerates premature skin aging characterized by deep wrinkle and sagging. It is well known that reactive oxygen species (ROS) are generated in UV-irradiated skin and play a critical role on the alterations. In this article, I will review alterations in UV irradiated skin including its mechanisms. (author abst.) |
