Abstract;UV light induces the photo-aging such as the formation of wrinkles and it also gives the damage for health such as skin cancer. It become clear that these damages are induced by exposure of daily weak UV light by recent research. Many sunscreen products are launched and used to protect skin against UV damage. However, these products can not block UV light completely. We developed new system which could measure UV induced ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) using live epidermal by ex-vivo. Moreover, we found that Vitamin C and Vitamin E, which were well known as anti-oxidization vitamin, prevented UV generated ROS in epidermal effectively as backup of sun filter using this system. The standard Sunscreen (SPF 15)could protect 90.1% of ROS, however, the sunscreen which contained Vitamin E protected 91.7% of ROS and combination use of Vitamin E and Vitamin C protected 95.5% of ROS. Combination use of Vitamin E and Vitamin C for sunscreen could increase the protective effect of UV generated ROS and the level of ROS in epidermal was reduced almost same level before UV exposed. Moreover, I introduced oil soluble UV-B filter (PARSOL 340) and water soluble UV-B filter (PARSOL HS) which were registered on the Japanese positive list recently. (author abst.)
