Abstract;The examination in the title in emergency care is not only useful for the diagnosis of the emergency disease, but also with a merit to proceed into treatment directly. The examination in the title is outlined for the following items. 1) Outline of the examination (definition, indication), 2) items to be prepared (selection of endoscope model, preparation of peripheral equipment), 3) examination technique (understanding of general condition, informed consent, pretreatment, basic anesthesia, gastrointestinal bleeding, removal of foreign body, digestive tract perforation, axis rotation, lower digestive tract closure, suppurative obstructive cholangitis), 4) point advices (system construction of urgent endoscope, limit of endoscopic treatment, endoscope cleaning/disinfection).
