Abstract; The authors grasped how herrings, which come to the Douhoku-Douou Sea of Japan coast and are caught, utilize coast fishing ground for egg-laying, and examined environment suitable for egg-laying. They also advanced the multiplication technology development of seaweeds formed in underwater forests along coast in order to extend egg-laying fields. As a result of investigating fixed points at Kodaira Town Usuki, Rumoi City Sandomari and Reuke on herring adhesion egg distribution situations, general situations were not good. In Reuke district, the adhesion of eggs on seaweeds (Phyllospadix iwatensis: 70% of total) was confirmed on March 18. Hatching was confirmed on April 15 as a result of continuous observation. Adhesion situations of Sargassum on concrete blocks are also described.
