Abstract;Although the thermal decomposition of silver(I) carbonate has widely been utilized as the teaching material for chemical reaction in secondary and high schools, it is known that the reaction pathway changes with the reaction condition applied.In the present study, applicability of the thermal decompositionof silver(I) carbonate as a teaching material was reinvestigated through determining the details of the reaction pathway by means of various thermoanalytical techniques.
