Abstract;A hard node of deep red and 2.5cm diameter in the lower jaw part of a 96 year-old man heaved in the dome state. There was no subjective symptom, and cervical region lymph node was not felt. In the pathohistological view, the tumor cell proliferated over subcutaneous fat tissue from the dermis shallow-layer, and there was no continuity with the epidermis. Nuclear cytoplasmic ratio was high for the tumor cell, and the kind, which was rich in chromatin, was a small cell with the circular nucleus. In the electron microscopic finding, core granules of the about 100nm diameter existed in the cytoplasm. Thus it was diagnosed as a merkel cell cancer. The treatment enforced only the radiotherapy, and the node rapidly disappeared, but it caused, after about 1 month, cervical region lymph node metastasis. He did the death of pneumonia by erroneous deglutition afterwards.
