Abstract; The case was a 21-year-old man, who was feverish from before sixth of the initial diagnosis, and whole-body feeling of fatigue appeared. It was diagnosed as the influenza infection disease, and the antipyretic was administered. However, erythema marginatum appeared in trunk and limbs, and he was hospitalized, since it is accompanied by fever of 40.DEG.C., headache, and coxalgia. This disease was diagnosed as rheumatic fever, because diagnostic criteria (Jones criteria) of rheumatic fever were satisfied. Fever was broken, when the administration of amoxicillin was started immediately, and leukocyte count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, CRP also showed the improvement tendency. The skin eruption disappeared without leaving the pigmentation. It was considered that though in the rheumatic fever of the adult crisis frequency of appearance was low for erythema marginatum, the diagnostic significance was high.
