Abstract;The treatment plan for attempted suicide patients is different by psychiatric disorder, attempted suicide method, characteristics of facilities, regional characteristics. The initial management and attention of psychiatry, which were comparatively common and practicable were described. The description was made in the following order : 1) Collection of information (confirmation of fact that it is the attempted suicide, name, age, address and telephone number, protectors, family members, psychiatry ambulatory history and the history of attempted suicide), 2) Correspondence to families (The contents to be explained include that he (she) is an attempted suicide patient, disease state and prognosis and application of the health insurance treatment), 3) How to see the patient himself (herself) (consideration of the place for interview, to find out the intention to attempt the suicide, evaluation of danger for attemping suicide again), 4) Linkage with psychiatry (when there is a psychiatrist in the emergency facilities, when there is no psychiatrist).
