| Abstract;The cardiac massage was described centering on the adult. The confirmation of the cardiac arrest, right position of hands, appropriate oppression are important and the sufficient training is indispensable for quick and smooth implementation in the urgent field. The description was made in the following order : 1) Outline of techniques (significance :The cardiac massage is carried out to send blood flow to the brain until the start of heartbeat by the treatment to cease the deterioration of the neurological prognosis in minimum. Application : The sick and wounded under circulatory arrest condition, Contraindication : No absolute contraindication, Complications : Possibility of fracture of rib and fracture of sternum), 2) Preparations (Protection against infection such as both hands and goggles, etc. of the rescue team members), 3) Explanation of techniques (positions of hands, oppression technique), 4) Point advice (Confirmation of the circulatory arrest, posture of the sick and wounded, positions of hands, oppression technique, oppression force, speed at 100 times for 1 minute, ratio of cardiac massage and ventilation, Others : Cardiac massage of children, infants and newborn infants). |
