Abstract; An adsorption behaiver of vanadium in water onto ziruconium-loaded silicagel(Zr-SG) has been studied. The adsorption and desorption of vanadium depend only on pH of water.Vanadium was adsorbed onto the Zr-SG between pH3 and 11 and desorbed from it above pH13.This adsorption of vanadium is applicable to the preconcentration method for the determination of vanadium in water using a small column packed with the Zr-SG.
