| Abstract; In the detection of biomolecule markers, it is necessary to label the sample by a certain chemical modification and the target sample is quantitated by the signal from this label. However, this modification could impair the natural interaction between the sample and the probe. To overcome this problem, we developed a new technology to detect peptide-protein interactions without any labeling. For example, we prepared antibody for CEA as a cancer marker and succeeded in diagnosing the CEA from the patient serum by using FT-IR RAS. This technique was extended to a diagnosis system for other disease markers by using FT-IR RAS. Furthermore, we developed an instrument capable of measuring the array spot on the protein chip automatically. (author abst.) |
