Abstract;In recent years, high efficiency welding methods have been in great demand for shipbuilding. In response to this demand, Kobe Steel has developed flux-cored wires for high-speed horizontal fillet welding and for tandem electro gas arc welding method. This paper introduces the characteristics of these methods which are both based on newly developed flux-cored wire. (author abst.)
