Abstract;MG-55 is a high potential 540MPa-class MAG solid welding wire usually used for structural beam-to-column joints. This weld metal has high tensile strength and a high notch toughness under high heat input and interpass temperatures. Welding efficiency under deregulated heat input and interpass temperature conditions possible with this wire is higher than that for conventional 490MPa-class MAG wire. (author abst.)
