| Abstract;Many robotic welding systems for thick plate structures were incorporated in production lines throughout Japan about 10 years ago. After that, a long term recession greatly reduced the number of robotic welding systems installed. For new production industries, new robotic technologies, equipment and software have been developed to encourage the replacement of old systems. (author abst.) |
