Abstract;Simulation techniques for spot-weld analysis were investigated to improve the analysis precision for automotive parts. A convenient, fairly precise analytic model was suggested by a comparison between the experimental and analytical results for static tensile testing. With the application of a convenient analytic model to highspeed tensile testing, a model was found that was applicable to impact analysis. Results showed that the time lag before the tensile rate reaches its maximum value should be taken into consideration. (author abst.)
