| Abstract; The changes of sediment source areas in the catchment belonging to the tectonic zone were examined using a series of aerial photos for the past 40 years. The sediment yield in different years and sediment discharge to major tributaries were calculated to estimate sediment budget in the whole catchment. The aerial photos were analyzed with GIS software ArView to estimate distribution and scale of landslides in the hill slope, ranges of valley bed deposition and volume of sediment. As a result it was found that shifting of major sediment source areas has taking place since about 15 years ago, and sediment reworking has been accelerated by human activities leading to serious sediment delivery out of the catchment. |
