Abstract;"Coastal inlet" is a generic name of the waterway existing in the river mouth or the inlet where the lagoon or river connects with the sea.The differential equation of the dimensionless was proposed, by which the change in the inlet width along with progress of the time can be solved in a supply analysis of the sedimentary materials in the field where the ocean wave, river flow, and tidal current interact in this coastal inlet. This equation has two parameters of the dimensionless which show the relative importance of three actions, and it is possible to obtain the solution to the resting state as an equilibrium. For the solutions as to the three actions, the parameters obtained from the data on the river mouths in Japan and Indonesia were utilized, and further collection of more data is needed in order to raise the generality.
