| Abstract;NACHI has been providing our customers with products, technology and service from the beginning processes (such as materials and heat treatment) to the completing processes (such as machining, assembly and maintenance). We have been growing as we satisfy our customer needs. We strongly believe that the deeper knowledge on the essence of materials and heat treatment technologies and their trends is essential to manufacturing. The basics of heat treatment such as necessary concept to understand heat treatment and the typical heat-treatment methods are taught in the first session of this seminar. The second session introduces the equilibrium diagram on which the concept of heat treatment is based and focuses on the bases of heat treatment such as quenching and tempering with the explanation of each step.
