Abstract;Drug transporters can be generally classified into ABC (ATP-binding cassette) transporters and soluble transporters. This study was conducted with focus on ABC transporters. ABC transporter, based on the hydrolytic energy of ATP, excretes substrates from inside the cells to outside. P-glycoprotein (MDRI) gene product, MRP1, MRP2 are the widely known ABC transporters that acts against anticancer agents with their multiple drug resistance in cancer cells. The present research mainly consisted of clinical experiments on healthy individuals and patients and analyses of biological materials.
