Abstract;High carbon steel filaments containing small amount of micro alloying elements were studied to stop delamination caused by torsional deformations. For titanium and boron treated steel filaments, the secondary ferrite area fraction decreased, and delamination did not occur in filaments subjected up to drawing strain levels as high as 4.2.
