| Abstract; This study was performed to confirm the antihypertensive effect of an aqueous extract powder from Mycoleptodonoides aitchisonii (AEPMA), which was administered in the form of capsule containing AEPMA for 12 weeks (160mg/day), on a high-normal and a mild hypertensive (low-medium risk) group by a double blind method using placebo. Administration of AEPMA produced significant decrease in blood pressure in total, high-normal, and mild hypertensive (low-medium risk) group. In these groups, significant antihypertensive effect was also observed in comparison with each placebo group. Furthermore, subjective symptom, objective symptom and accessory symptom were not observed in all subjects. From these results, it was confirmed that AEPMA improved blood pressure of high-normal and mild hypertensive (low-medium risk) group without showing subjective symptoms and objective symptoms.
