Abstract;Here was introduced a high efficiency screw chiller usable for air-conditioning of buildings, and so on. By changing from conventional sliding valve control system to rotation control one using an inverter, a feature beyond the conventional efficiency at 100% in output even at partial loading could be established. Here were outlined adoption of Lorenz cycle, and upgradings of efficiency and compactness based on adoption of a plate-type heat exchanger.
