Abstract;The transient gronding resistance model was applied to a thunder accident of a 500kV transmission line. The model was developed for the analysis of EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transient Program) with consideration of ground dischage. The result shows that the model can reproduce the accident aspect and indicates a posibility of the occurrence of ground dischage in this case.
